Intro to the course

Many luxury developments boast of their proximity to well-regarded courses. The difference is that we have two courses onsite – including an 18-hole par 72 at 6330 yards.

Both courses have been designed to offer enjoyment to all levels of club golfer, and the nine hole course is perfect for beginners, or those seeking to hone their short game.

The golf courses also afford access to the clubhouse and practice facilities.

Director of Golf

Maverston Highland Estate’s golf courses have been designed and are overseen by Euan McIntosh. Euan studied in America on a golf scholarship and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. While in America, Euan won five events on the college circuit.

Euan represented the Scotland National team at Junior (under-18) level and was made captain of the Scotland Schoolboys team.

Key holes

The 4th hole
A classic risk-and-reward par 4: play the dogleg around the loch, or take on the carry over the water for a shorter approach.
The 9th hole
A testing 439-yard left-to-right dogleg, skirted with whins on the left: a perfect example of natural rolling terrain shaping the fairway.
The 16th hole
The designer’s favourite – a 171-yard par 3 from an elevated tee, the green guarded by large bunkers short left and long.
